The Early

Tracey appeared in four segments in the second hour of the program: at the end of the news; in her main interview segment; outside at the bottom of the hour; and helping to model a striped scarf and earrings. First segment: after a news story on Lindsay Lohan's behavior in the wake of her breakup with Samantha Ronson, Tracey has joined Harry Smith and Maggie Rodriguez on the set in preparation for her official appearance in the next segment. Maggie mentions Tracey's impression of Dina Lohan ("I just dress age-inappropriately", says Trace) and asks "Dina" what she would say to Lindsay. Tracey notes that her daughter Mabel is about Lindsay's age but then doesn't really respond to the question. She mentions that the crew really love her impression of Dina -- the long blonde hair, the tight jeans [I agree with the crew -- RR], and how she's pushing Ali and it's all about the future. This leads into an impression of Maggie and "Hispanic hips" and a request from Maggie to do an impression of Harry as they go into a break. Second segment: Coming soon Third segment: at the bottom of the hour, Harry and Maggie have moved outside in front of the crowd, and Tracey has joined them. Harry has put on his official Easter rabbit ears in honor of the approaching holiday, and shortly thereafter, Maggie and Tracey are handed their ears, which they put on. Tracey's ears do not want to stand up straight. They eventually give their ears to the weathercaster. Fourth segment: Maggie is interviewing X, who is going to be demonstrating stripes for the upcoming season, and Tracey has joined them. During the segment, she tries on a purple striped scarf (shades of Purple Skirt) and some large striped earrings. At the end of the segment, Tracey's husband Allan joins them on camera, for he is appropriately clad for the segment, wearing a white scarf with thin red stripes.    Jay Leno introduces Tracey as a 7-time Emmy winner who has been struck by lightning 11 times; he's also holding up a copy of the first season DVD of State of the Union.
